Community Children’s Center is looking for Assistant Teachers for immediate openings in our Toddler and Tiny Tot classrooms. We are a faith-based childcare center, providing early education for children starting at the age of 6 weeks. As we continue to expand, we are looking for energetic, dependable individuals with a strong desire to teach our little learners and make a difference every day. Full-time positions available.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Teachers are responsible for providing structured program activities following a play-based curriculum that contributes to the development of each child’s social, emotional, intellectual and physical needs. An important part of being an Early Childhood Educator is establishing a bond with the child and families which will enable the children to learn in a safe, secure environment as they explore the world around them. Must be willing to help with potty training or diaper changes, document children’s progress and maintain cleanliness of classroom, while working cooperatively and effectively with other staff.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Assistant Teachers: Prior childcare experience is preferred, but we are willing to train! CDA, Degree or Courses Completed in Early Childhood Education are a plus, but not required.
• CPR and First Aid Certification, or willingness to obtain/ recertify
• Basic computer skills to assist with projects and daily logging of child’s information
• Ability to engage in physical activity and lift up to 30lbs. when needed
• Meet background check requirements with fingerprint clearance
• Provide negative TB test results prior to starting position
• Strong communication and instructional skills
• Dependable and flexible with a strong work ethic
• Positive and patient demeanor
• Excellent multi-tasking ability
