Job Description:

Little Hornet Preschool is the PreK program within Williamston Community Schools. The PreK for All teacher will have a passion for educating our district’s youngest learning and creating a solid foundation for a student’s future school success. The ideal candidate is a warm, loving individual who strives to provide an early childhood environment filled with curiosity, opportunities for friendship and independence, and a love for learning

Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education/Child development or Elementary Education certified/Early Childhood endorsement or willingness to pursue certification preferred
Knowledge of or willingness to learn the following
Connect 4 Learning (C4L) Curriculum
Teaching Strategies Gold (TSG) Assessment Program
Teachers Learning Together (TLT) concept of professional development
Social, Emotional and Behavioral (SEB)
Supports Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS)
Evidence-based literacy and math practices
Strong organizational, interpersonal, and public relation skills
Ability to work collaboratively with other professionals with a desire to improve educational practices
Successfully pass a background check

Responsibilities
Plan, create, administer, and oversee all aspects positive preschool classroom environment with assistant teachers
Work collaboratively with a teaching team of assistant teachers and professionals across the program and district
Provide a supportive and nurturing environment that focuses on the safety and health of children and encourages their physical, intellectual, social and emotional development
Communicate various aspects of the program to parents/guardians through email, newsletters, and other media
Comply with state rules and regulations for a Great Start Readiness Program
Comply with State of Michigan regulations for a licensed center
Maintain yearly professional development as outlined by Child care licensing
