Little Hornet Preschool is the first school experience for the young learners of Williamston Community Schools offering part-day and full day classroom enrollment options for students 3-5 years of age on a school year calendar. Our program strives to provide a positive first school experience and the foundational blocks to begin the child’s educational adventure.

*Plan, administer, and oversee all aspects of an appropriate preschool curriculum and activities with assistant teachers for students ages 3-5

*Collaborate with other teachers across the program and as a teaching team with assistant teachers

*Provide a supportive and nurturing environment that focuses on the safety and health of children and encourages their physical, intellectual, social and emotional development

*Communicate various aspects of the program to parents/guardians through email, newsletters, and other media

*Comply with State of Michigan regulations for a licensed center

*Maintain yearly professional development as outlined by Child Care licensing

Must have bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education/Child development or Elementary Education certified/Early Childhood endorsement

*Knowledge of Connect 4 Learning Curriculum

*Previous experience with Teaching Strategies Gold Assessment Program

*Strong organizational, interpersonal, and public relation skills

*Ability to work collaboratively with other professionals with a desire to improve educational practices

*Successfully pass a background check

Wage range of $20,800- $21,800/year based upon experience. Wage is based on ~25 hours/week and 38 weeks/year.
