Job Summary:
Responsible for assisting the Lead Teacher in the daily management of the classroom by guiding each child in their spiritual, emotional, social, academic, and physical growth so each child receives a solid educational foundation aligned with High Scope’s Key Developmental Indicators (KDIs).
Must also believe in and follow the philosophy and goals of Little Lambs while adhering to all State of Michigan licensing regulations and Little Lambs staff handbook policies.

Responsibilities:
-Maintains a safe home away from home environment that ensures the well-being of children
-Completes necessary paperwork (daily reports, incident reports, injury reports) on a timely basis
-Assist children in all aspects of the potty-training process
-Ensures diapers, feedings, and nap times are recorded (for Infants and Toddlers)
-Maintains a well-maintained, orderly learning environment both indoors and outdoors
-Serves and/or prepares meals and snacks to children while promoting healthy eating practices
-Aware of children’s allergies or food restrictions
-Assist in preparing the room and children for nap time
-Support social and emotional development and provide positive guidance
-Advance physical and intellectual competence
-Establish positive, professional, and productive relationships with families
