Job Description
Chapel Ridge Christian Daycare & Early Learning Academy is seeking full-time Lead Teacher for Toddler classroom! Our Creative Curriculum® and Bible Curriculum will assist teachers in creating a high-quality learning environment and providing a discovery approach to learning rich in experience and hands-on materials. Lead Teachers will help build creativity, critical thinking skills, confidence, and Biblical values in our children!

We provide a secure and loving Christian environment where each child is developed with the “Whole Person” philosophy- spirit, soul, and body. Care and development is provided for children between the ages of six weeks to school age.

Position Overview:
Lead Teachers will be responsible for planning and implementing an age appropriate program through our Creative Curriculum® while providing a secure and loving Christian environment to develop children spiritually, socially, emotionally, intellectually, and physically.

Responsibilities:
Develops lesson plans and ensures implementation of the designated curriculum
Leads classroom activities with support from the Teacher Assistant
Ensure a secure, safe, and fun environment within the classroom
Establish and maintain positive relationships with children and parents
Communicate with parents on children’s’ growth and progress

Requirements:
CDA Certification or Associate in Early Childhood Education or Child Development
Alternative credentials include 6-12 semester credits with 1,000- 4,000 hours of experience
* Personality and ability to provide leadership and stability for program continuity
CPR certified including infants (or willing to immediately be certified)
Must agree with the Chapel Ridge Faith Statement

* Must be at least 19 years of age High School Diploma or GED equivalent

Toddler Classroom Position Available
Hours of operation are from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm

Job Type: Full-time Pay: $17.00 – $19.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate: Grand Rapids, MI 49544: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Education: High school or equivalent (Required)
Experience: Early Childhood General Education
Teachers: 1 year (Preferred)
License/Certification: CPR Certification (Preferred)
Child Development Associate Certification (Preferred)
