Job Description:

The GSRP Associate Teacher supports the Lead Teacher in implementing a high-quality preschool program aligned with the Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP) standards. This role assists with planning and delivering developmentally appropriate instruction, fostering a safe and nurturing classroom environment, and promoting children’s social, emotional, and academic growth.

Key Responsibilities:
-Support daily classroom instruction and small group activities.
-Help maintain a structured, engaging, and inclusive learning environment.
-Build positive relationships with children and families.
-Assist with child observations, documentation, and assessment requirements.
-Participate in home visiting and parent-teacher conferences twice annually.
-Ensure compliance with licensing, GSRP, and program guidelines.
-Collaborate with the Lead Teacher and support staff to meet individual student needs.

The Associate Teacher plays a vital role in maintaining consistency, supporting classroom routines, and contributing to a positive early learning experience for all students.

Preferred Qualifications: Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development, or a Child Development Associate Credential (CDA). The program will support a candidate to achieve a CDA with high quality training and financial assistance.
