Job Description:

Bridges: An Intergenerational Center is seeking a passionate, dependable, and engaging Pre-K Lead Teacher to join our team! We are Greater Lansingโ€™s first intergenerational childcare center, creating meaningful connections between children and older adults through daily experiences, activities, and relationships.

The ideal candidate is nurturing, organized, creative, and committed to preparing children socially, emotionally, and academically for kindergarten through developmentally appropriate learning experiences.

Responsibilities

Plan and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate Pre-K curriculum and activities
Support kindergarten readiness through hands-on learning, social-emotional development, and play-based experiences
Create a positive, structured, and nurturing classroom environment
Maintain strong communication and partnerships with families
Complete lesson planning, observations, assessments, and daily documentation
Lead and mentor assistant teachers within the classroom
Facilitate meaningful intergenerational activities and experiences
Maintain classroom cleanliness, organization, and licensing compliance
Follow all health, safety, and supervision procedures
Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree, CDA, or coursework in Early Childhood Education or related field
Previous experience as a Lead Teacher in a licensed childcare setting preferred
Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices and classroom management
Familiarity with Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs licensing requirements
Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain
Must meet all Michigan licensing and background check requirements
