Celebrate Young Children All April Long Michigan AEYC encourages individuals, families, and early childhood programs to celebrate young children all year long—not just during the Week of the Young Child™, April 11–17, 2026. Each April, the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) invites educators, families, and communities to come together to celebrate the Week of the Young Child® (WOYC)—a time to highlight the joy of early learning and the vital role early childhood educators play in shaping young minds. Throughout the week, themed days such as Music Monday, Tasty Tuesday, and Artsy Thursday emphasize the importance of play, creativity, and collaboration in children’s development.
