Responsibilities

Site Administrators are responsible for the daily operation and implementation of the
childcare program at their assigned site. This includes the supervision of site staff and
ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of all children in care.
Site Administrators shall assist the Program Administrator in the following areas:
● Developing, implementing, and evaluating program and center policies and
procedures.
● Managing day-to-day operations of the site, including being available to address
parent, child, and staff concerns in a timely and professional manner.
● Monitoring, supervising, and supporting site staff to ensure compliance with program
expectations, licensing regulations, and district policies.
● Maintaining a safe, positive, and developmentally appropriate environment for
children.
● Ensuring compliance with Michigan Child Care Licensing Rules, Great Start to Quality
standards, and district requirements.
● Supporting staff training, onboarding, coaching, and professional development
efforts.
● Maintaining accurate records and documentation as required by licensing, program,
and district guidelines.
● Communicating effectively with families, staff, school personnel, and community
partners.
● Assisting with enrollment, attendance tracking, scheduling, and other administrative
duties as assigned.
● Promoting positive relationships with children, families, and staff while fostering a
welcoming and inclusive program environment.
