About the Job
Paradigm Care & Enrichment Center is a warm, welcoming childcare center providing care and early learning experiences for children from 6 weeks old through Kindergarten. We are looking for dependable, caring, and enthusiastic Assistant Teachers to join our team!

Our Assistant Teachers work alongside Lead Teachers to create a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment where children can learn, play, and grow. Previous childcare experience is welcome, but not required. We are happy to train the right person who has a positive attitude, is dependable, and genuinely enjoys working with children.
Being a great team player and having reliable attendance are essential for this position.

Responsibilities:
Assistant Teachers help support the daily operation of the classroom, including:
Assisting Lead Teachers with classroom activities and lesson plans.
Supervising children and maintaining a safe, attentive classroom environment.
Engaging with children through play, conversation, learning activities, and positive interactions.
Modeling appropriate behavior and helping children develop healthy social and emotional skills.
Assisting with diapering, toileting, handwashing, and other personal care needs.
Preparing and serving snacks and light meals.
Helping children during meals, rest time, transitions, indoor play, and outdoor play.
Maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom.
Completing daily cleaning and light housekeeping responsibilities.
Communicating and working cooperatively with Lead Teachers, Assistant Teachers, directors, and other team members.
Following Paradigm policies, licensing requirements, and health and safety procedures.

Qualifications:
We are looking for someone who:
Is dependable and committed to maintaining reliable attendance.
Has a positive attitude and works well as part of a team.
Is patient, caring, and comfortable working with young children.
Is willing to learn and receive coaching and feedback.
Can successfully complete required background checks and fingerprinting.
Is willing to complete required childcare training, including CPR and First Aid.
Can meet all applicable childcare licensing requirements.

Previous experience working in childcare or early childhood education is preferred but not required. Candidates currently pursuing a degree or credential in Early Childhood Education or a related field are encouraged to apply.
