Job Description:

The YMCA of Saginaw is seeking an enthusiastic Early Learning Lead Teacher who is passionate about working with children and supporting their learning. As the Early Learning Lead Teacher, you will support the YMCA Early Learning Center program year-round. The Lead Teacher is responsible for utilizing a developmentally appropriate curriculum to meet the learning needs of preschool age children. The Lead teacher will work with parent involvement and education, provide child and program assessment and evaluation, and partner with the community.

Qualifications
Must have a warm and friendly personality, be sensitive to the feelings and needs of others, and be able to relate well with children. Must be at least 19-years old and have 1 year experience/480 hours in Early Childhood Education and a Preschool Child Development Associate Credential (CDA) or Birth to 5 CDA required. Associate’s degree or higher in Early Childhood Education or Child Development preferred. Possess or obtain within 90-days of hire, CPR and 1st Aid certifications. Must be able to work closely and effectively with other caregivers in accordance with program goals and licensing rules.
