Zion Lutheran School Childcare Center is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic GSRP Lead Teacher to join our present team of caring Christian educators. The teacher for this Lead position will show love for teaching children.

The GSRP Lead Teacher, will create a positive and collaborative classroom.

Position Details

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Starting at 34,000 – 36,000 per year, contingent on experience
Time off during scheduled school calendar
Monday-Friday: 40 hours
Responsibilities

Creatively teach a GSRP preschool classroom of 4 year old students
Follow all GSRP guidelines and requirements
Provide a nurturing, engaging learning environment
Attend required GSRP trainings and scheduled monthly staff meetings.
Required qualifications (From State of Michigan)

Lead Teachers must meet the GSRP qualifications upon hire. A Lead Teacher will be considered credentialed for the position with minimally any of the following:

A valid Michigan teaching certificate and an Early Childhood Education (ZA) or Early Childhood-General and Special Education (ZS) endorsement, Early Childhood General and Special Education birth – kindergarten (ZN) or Lower Elementary Education PK (ZO) endorsement; or
A bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or child development with a specialization in preschool teaching. The transcript will document a major, rather than a minor, in child development or early childhood education ; or
A bachelor’s degree in elementary teaching with a valid Preschool CDA; or
For Montessori only: A bachelor’s degree in any subject and completed training through a Montessori primary (age 3 – 6) certification program affiliated with the Montessori Accreditation Council for Teacher Education (MACTE), the Association Montessori International (AMI), or the American Montessori Society (AMS)
