Job Description:

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development
Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with ZA, ZN, ZO, and/or ZS endorsement
Reliable and Dependable
Collaborative
Enjoys Working with Children

Responsibilities
Plan, assess, and provide instruction for students based on the individual needs of each child
Develop and implement daily lesson plans in accordance with the education plan and HighScope curriculum
Create a positive and safe learning environment
Utilize engaging learning activities through daily lesson plans
Provide age appropriate language and literacy activities
Interact with children during gross motor activities
Promote and model positive mental health activities
Collaborate with Early Childhood staff
Maintain necessary student records
Communicate with parents/guardians regarding children in program
Conduct two home visits a year with parents
Maintain strong parent volunteer program
Participate in professional learning opportunities and trainings
Attend parent meetings
Other duties as assigned

This position reports to the Principal of Early Childhood.
