Job Description:

Morning Star Child Care Center is seeking a passionate, dedicated, and enthusiastic Lead Preschool Teacher to join our team to lead our 4-year-old preschool program beginning in August 2026. We are looking for an educator who is committed to fostering a positive, engaging, and nurturing learning environment where children can develop confidence, curiosity, and a lifelong love of learning.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education, experience working in preschool classrooms, and a genuine passion for supporting young children’s growth and development. This individual will play a key role in planning and implementing meaningful learning experiences while building strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues.

Responsibilities
• Develop and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate lesson plans for 4 year-olds that align with program goals and curriculum.
• Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment that supports all areas of child development.
• Foster children’s social, emotional, cognitive, physical, and language growth through intentional teaching practices.
• Manage classroom routines and dynamics effectively while promoting positive behavior and independence.
• Observe, monitor, and assess children’s progress to ensure individualized learning needs are met.
• Maintain a well-organized classroom that encourages exploration, creativity, and learning through play.
• Build strong partnerships with families through ongoing communication and collaboration.
• Work collaboratively with fellow teachers and administrators to support short and long term program goals and center initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with all licensing regulations and center policies.

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Elementary Education, or a related field.
• Associate degree accepted in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
• Previous classroom teaching experience required, preferably in a preschool setting.
• Knowledge of child development and best practices in early childhood education.
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive learning environment.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to professionalism, teamwork, and continuous learning.
