Job Description:

Join our dedicated early childhood education team as a Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP) Certified Lead Teacher! This is an exciting opportunity to help build a brand new GSRP classroom from the ground up. In this vibrant role, you will inspire young learners by creating engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons that foster curiosity, growth, and a love for learning. As a lead educator, you will be responsible for designing curriculum, managing classroom activities, and building strong relationships with children and families. Required qualifications: Early Childhood Education/Child Development Bachelors Degree. Experience working with preschool aged children. Previous GSRP experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement comprehensive curriculum plans tailored to the developmental needs of preschool-aged children, including toddlers and those with special education requirements.
Create a nurturing classroom environment that promotes positive behavior management and supports social-emotional development.
Deliver engaging lessons focused on literacy, math, physical education, and overall childhood development to stimulate curiosity and learning.
Manage daily classroom activities, ensuring safety, cleanliness, and organization in accordance with licensing standards and mandated reporting laws.
Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to share progress, address concerns, and foster collaborative relationships that support each child’s growth.
Incorporate early intervention strategies to support children with diverse learning needs or developmental delays.
Maintain accurate records of student progress, assessments, and lesson plans while adhering to standardized testing protocols when applicable.
Experience

Prior experience working with children in educational or childcare settings such as daycare, preschool, or private schools.
Demonstrated knowledge of child development principles, classroom management techniques, and behavior management strategies.
Experience developing curriculum that includes literacy education, math instruction, physical activity, and social-emotional learning.
Familiarity with special education practices and early intervention programs is highly desirable.
Strong communication skills for effective parent engagement and team collaboration.
Certification as a GSRP Lead Teacher or equivalent credential is required; additional certifications such as First Aid and CPR are preferred.
Proven ability to create inclusive learning environments that support diverse learners across different age groups including toddlers and preschoolers.
